  1. Hi Jesse,

at first i want to thank you for your very very helpful tips.
I bought my s10-3t on tuesday and with the help of your tips it is a great slate pc!

But, i probably i have a special tip for you or might you dont know...

I'm sure you know about MS Surface and the Surface Pack which is running on the HP's a.s.o.

After installing the Thinkpad Multitouch Drivers on the Lenovo Page i found the Surface Pack on the Toshibo Support site.
    It includes:
    Touch Globe
    Touch Collage
Touch Lagoon (won't work due to bad graphic's)
    Blackboard Game
    Touch Rebound Game
    Touch Pond Game

So, maybe i gave you some kudos with this information and somewhen see this tip offical in your blog (maybe i will make a video for youtube and share it with you)...:)

Many many regards & a big thumb up for your work here!
    Thomas from Berlin, GE

  2. Thanks for the comments. I enjoy this S10-3T and love new technologies that are innovative. It does drive me "nuts" to see how big companies fill the system with bloatware/crapware and slow an excellent system so bad that people immediatly label things as a bad product.

I'll check the Surface Pack. If you do make the video first please let me know and we'll post it on the site.

  6. Ah...where is my head...

At first you need to install the Thinkpad X200 Tablet "Multitouch Driver", grab them here:
    http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=MIGR-73295

Without this driver you get an error message (more then "one finger input needed")when you start a Surface App.

Check out in windows settings/system, normally there stands someting with "one finger/stylus input", after installing the x200 driver there stands something with "two finger/ stylus input" and that will fix the error message.

I saw today that Google Earth wouldn't really work with the s10-3t due to the bad gma3150 so i'm wondering why Touch Globe works like i'm in the minority report, strange, but i'll check out the performance of google earth today and make a comparison (<- is that right? In german i mean "Vergleich").

  7. Hmmm, I installed the surface pack without the multitouch drivers and it worked just fine. All except for Lagoon, of course.

  8. I also installed Surface Pack without those drivers. Some of those games are pure genius and do know hot to use the touch screen. Lagoon is the exception too. Surface Globe is amazing. It works so well. Thanks for the link!

  10. I was thinking about making a video with a few touch programs. This is going on for sure.

  11. Thanks for the useful tips. The link you provided for the drivers is for the s10-3 not the s10-3t. Here is the correct link: http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=45252

  12. Thanks for the update. I hadn't noticed that there was a "t" missing on the link I posted. I will correct all links now.

  14. @meenu

There are two computers that almost share the same name.

There's the Lenovo "S10-3" which is a netbook with no touch capability and then there's the "S10-3T" which is the tablet that I have been using.

I have never hear of "S103" or "S10.3". They usually have those dashes.

  15. Hello Jesse. I was wondering if you have had any trouble with your wireless connection?

Almost every time I try to copy files to or from my S10, it drops the network connection. So, I have yet to be able to set up a backup job, and its really annoying trying to copy files to and from.

Its def not my wireless network as my wife has a full sized wireless laptop, and has never had that issue.

Hoping you can help, have done some googling about the issue and haven't been successful in finding any solution.

    Thanks,
    Jeff

I have not had issues with my wifi card. There are tweaks to improve it but I haven't needed to.

There are two Windows 7 drivers for ethernet (Broadcom and Intel). If one doesn't work then try the other.

  21. I have a problem with bluetooth device... :(
It worked for like 30minutes, I got a connection with my sony-ericsson w810 and after that, he has gone lost... I cannot find him in the bottom right corner where the clock is, and when i try to reinstall the driver, I get a message that the bluetooth device is not connected... When I go to program files - lenovo - bluetooth, and start the aplication, i get only in task menager a bluetooth proccess but no program or icon in bottom right corner... Any ideas my friends?
P.S. when I go to devide menager, there is no bluetooth device in any of the categories... I has simply gone missing XD

    All the best :)

  22. If you are having bluetooth issues try the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack.

  23. Thanks dude for quick answer... But the new driver setup tells me the same thing "When you plug in the device, press OK"... Do you have any ideas?
P.S... Bluetooth device worked for some time and then its gone rogue :(

  24. One idea.... If you have a system restore point where the BT worked then you could restore that and get it back and working. The downside is that it will probably remove programs that you have been installing.

  25. So, you are absolutely sure that it is not a hardwere problem, like bluetooth device hasn't disconnected or losen contact from shakeing in transport from work to home? My notebook has not fallen from a desk or taken very big vibrations... It was just normal clen transport...

  26. I had a similar issue once with a Asus 1201N. It had bluetooth ahd it worked for a bit, then poof it was gone. I did some software installations and that didn't work.

I did trick the system into thinking it had BT by inserting a Kensignton BT dongle and installing the Toshiba stack. Once I had the software installed I removed the Kensignton BT dongle and restarted the system. The internal BT came back alive.

I'm assuming you have the internal BT + wifi card. If you get wifi and not BT is not because the card is lose. It's a software issue.

If you keep having issues give Lenovo a call, and see if they are of more help than me. Also do a post on their forums. Maybe someone has a better fix.

  29. Hi Jesse,
So I wanted to buy this Lenovo S10-3t from a friend. While in my possession it locked up and I had to use the OKR to a previous restore date which was over a year old. Now when I try to boot it using the power key, it wont work, so I boot it using the OKR which goes through the revoery mode again. I exit and it will open in windows mode but now the lights around the screen will not come on. Can this be fixed?

    Thanks,

    SMSgt Bob
